This motor has 6 leads terminated at the terminal box with 4mm diam. sockets enabling the the motor to be externally connected:
- High speed operation (2 pole)2&4 pole Dharlander
- Low speed operation (4 pole)
The motor was primarily developed to demonstrate the Dahlander(consequent pole) 2 speed connection
However, when used in conjunction with a “programmable-controller” (PLC) or “Programmable-Relay” it greatly increases the number of possible circuit configurations of motor control sequences when teaching circuit development.
As this motor has four(4) distinct physical and visual modes.
i.e. high & low CW rotation, and high & low ACC rotation
